i would be lying if i said i hadnt had any hope that this was all just a silly mistake and he was going to outgrow this allergy nonsense. it is looking more and more like that isnt going to happen.
i am sad :(

allergy test = not good news :(
im so depressed. i got the results from monkey's recent allergy blood test. things are not looking good on the whole "maybe he will outgrow it" front. his numbers for peanuts went WAY up and he added a new allergy to the list.... hazelnuts. also, the blood test made it official that he is allergic to sunflower seeds. his numbers for milk did go down slightly... but i dont know how significant a .6 drop is until we go in for his allergy appt in october (it probably means nothing at this point since all the other news is bad).

You would be amazed how resilient kids are! He might not outgrow them but they may become much weaker.
I live with severe allergies (anaphyllactic) and it was overwhelming in the beginning but now it's TOTALLY managable.
yeah, tina... i remember when you posted about your most recent severe reaction! that is so scary. at this point we dont really know how severe his allergies are. the only one he has had any accidents/contact with is milk and that was just hives but it was also just a small amount of exposure. he has had sunflower oil and had no reaction... but they say oils for the most part are nonallergenic.. so i dont think sunflower oil counts as exposure? im not sure on that one.
